Dry eye disease is one of the most common conditions we see in practice, yet it’s also one of the most misunderstood—by patients and, at times, by the practices treating it. Too often, dry eye care becomes reactive: a complaint, a quick recommendation, and a prescription. What patients are really looking for, however, is something far more comprehensive.

They want to feel heard.
They want to understand what’s happening.
And they want a plan that makes sense.

Effective dry eye patient management starts when we stop treating dry eye as a symptom to address and begin treating it as an experience to design.
