Frances Bynum, OD

Dr. Bynum earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

As the owner of Northwest Tennessee Eye Clinic in Martin, Tennessee, Dr. Bynum has helped bring the latest state-of-the-art technology and advanced procedures into her practice. She has extensive experience in contact lenses, ocular disease, and pathology, as well as the co-management of cataract, refractive surgery, and glaucoma procedures.

Dr. Bynum is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. She is a Fellow of the Tennessee Academy of Optometric Physicians, a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and serves as a Vision Source Administrator.

Committed to advancing the profession, Dr. Bynum serves as a preceptor for Southern College of Optometry and is a speaker and consultant for CooperVision, LKC Technologies, and MacuHealth. She also co-founded the Rural Healthcare Education Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing continuing education opportunities for rural healthcare professionals.
